THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11: Jim Beam Racing driver James Courtney says filming the new big-budget V8 Supercars advertisement with American pop star Pink was a unique experience.

Courtney is one of six drivers featured in \'The Greatest Show on Wheels\' campaign advertisement, and he attended the launch at Fox Studios in Sydney last night.

\"It was unique being involved and interesting to see first-hand how much work goes into putting something like this together,\" said the 29-year-old Gold Coast driver.

\"The production team was huge - I\'m told more than 150 people - for two days of filming, which seems a long time for a short advertisement.\"

\"The segment where I catch Pink only lasts a few seconds, but it took a few hours. There is so much preparation and planning, just as there is when we go motor racing.\"

Courtney, who competed on Channel 7\'s \'Dancing With The Stars\' program in 2007, said he was impressed with the advertisement.

\"The aim is to promote the sport outside traditional motorsport fans and Pink was the perfect choice to push out message out there to a wider demographic,\" he said.

\"The music is great, and the presentation of the vision and graphics are very slick. I think this will hit the mark!\"

The advertisement, was directed by Hollywood video music director Dave Meyers, who travelled to Australia for filming in 2009 after Pink\'s Funhouse tour.

Apart from Courtney, other drivers featured in \'The Greatest Show on Wheels\' advertisement are 2009 V8 Supercar champion Jamie Whincup, fellow Holden drivers Will Davison, Rick Kelly, and Fabian Coulthard, and Mark Winterbottom from Ford Performance Racing.

Courtney, who won two races and had six podium finishes in the 2009 championship, soon heads overseas to race his FG Ford Falcon in the opening event of the 2010 series in Abu Dhabi from February 18-20.
