I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

We had a fantastic day, as you can see by the photo with this message.

For Carys and I it was our first Christmas as parents since our daughter
Zara was born in January.

Our Christmas Day started at home. We decorated a tree with all the
trimmings, and wrapped plenty of presents.

The smile on Zara's face when she saw everything brought back some
fantastic memories for me.

As you get older it's easy to forget how exciting Christmas is for kids,
but seeing Zara enjoying the day made me remember what it's all about.

Later in the day we went to Brisbane and had lunch with Carys' brother
and their family. They have a six-month-old child so it was also their
first Christmas as parents.

We are planning on spending most of the festive season relaxing at home.

I'm away a lot with racing and sponsor commitments so it's good just to
kick back and enjoy spending time with Carys and Zara before the V8
Supercar Championship season starts again.

We have only just finished the 2008 championship, but the '09 season
starts in Adelaide in March so there is not a long break for drivers and
teams.

I hope you all have a Happy New Year and best wishes for 2009.
